hey guys i am trying to find a replacement engine for my 2k1 montero sport xls with a 3L engine. tried going to the local u-pull-it places with no luck. does anyone no if any domestic cars were built with the same engine or where i could possibly find an engine new or used for a reasonable price?

Try a Dodge Stealth or Chrysler Sebring. I believe they used the same Mitsubishi 3.0L power plants.
