Montero Sport gearing & options questions...
I've heard some Montero Sports offer the larger rear pumpkin w/ OE Locker like those found in the 3.5L DOHC Montero SR model. I've also heard they'll fit either the 2.85:1 or 3.15:1 transfer case upgrade gears available from Australia.
Can someone confirm this for me, and if so, how can I tell if a sport I'm looking at has either.
Also, are any sport owner's running 35's or larger tires off road w/ the stock or slightly modified drivetrain?
TIA

Is the front also the larger axle from the 3.0 Gen I Montero or the smaller one from the 3.0 gen II Montero?
Do you know which models I should be looking for if I wanted to buy one? Also was the locker an option? Was it standard on certain package groupings the way it came with the 94-96 Montero SR's?
Hmmm... maybe I'll get a newer sport instead of an older SR.
