i have a 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS 4x4.. is there any way to know if it has the infinity sound system in it? also, is there a way to know if it has the suspension pkg? thanks

 

I have a 97 Montero 4x4 SR and if you have the infinity sound system it should say on the head unit visable on the top right hand side. As far as the suspension package my montero under the center console has an supension adjustor. Also in the instrument panel it has a S M H within the tack panel. Hope this helps.

 

The Infinity Package will have "Infinity" labeled on the deck. Also, it will have 2 additional speakers at the lower dash area (next to the glove box and by the drivers knees. The 1997 Montero Sport does NOT HAVE a suspension package available. It did have a Premium Wheel Package available that year which was the 15x7 alum wrapped in 265/70/15 Yoko's. Plain tested and true Torsion Bar front and leaf spring rear is STANDARD.

I have a 2002 Montero Sport ES. It does not have the Infinity system or the speakers in the dash. I have just replaced the head unit with a Panasonic I had in my Pathfinder. What size speakers go in the dash? Are the wires already there (it looks like it)? And are they regular speakers? Not tweeters?

You can check crutchfield.com for speaker fitment on most vehicles including your 2002 Monty Sport.
