Unhappy Stuck crank gear. 2001 Montero sport ls 3.0 v6 sohc

Maybe someone has had this problem, after removing the harmonic balance/pulley (which came with ease surprisingly) the crank gear won't budge from it's spline (yes the sensor was removed prior to the attempt). Can anyone help me out, is there a tool that will make this easier without damaging the sensor plate behind the gear?

Nevermind, PB and a couple of screwdrivers with a 2lb brass hammer did the trick. I bent the sensor plate "couldn't be helped in this case" it was a ten dollar replacement. Timing belt job is done. Thanks anyway.
