Red face Unknown ***** (Timing belt repair)

I have 2000 sport 3.0 Monjero of course, bought new and never changed timing belt. In May 2022 and 316,356 miles it finally broke. Put new water pump (part of kit with belt) New A/C compressor. Put front plate back on and new belts. Then horror, I saw 3 what looked like ball bearings on driveway. The sizes are 3/16" or 5 MM (close) no clue where there from! Any ideas. PLEASE! I don't want to finish without knowing.

Firstof all... 316k on original timing belt is impressive. Hopefully you avoided valve/piston damage after breakage.
As far as small ***** from a ballbearing, most likely they come from tensioner and/or idler pulleys. If not, then it can be from anything else up front - alternator, steeting pump, AC compressor, radiator fan clutch mechanism. You going to have to check every rotating piece up there to see if any bearings are falling apart.

Checked everything I could without taking front plate back off, may have to. Not sure they are from a bearing and all under the plate look like they were sealed. My guess is maybe a back flow preventer from one of the lines I had to remove, or the new a/c is oil filled and the pully has three holes in front and their used as wedge to keep the oil from spinning out in shipping. I even checked all my tools. I am a diehard "If it ain't broke don't fix it" dude. Luckly that year was not an interference engine. I thank you for your feedback anything could help.

Good outcome. Better than loosing ***** from anything on the engine 😅
