Default Wheel Swap?

Thanks in advance for help with this.......

Can factory wheels (16")from 2005 Montero Limited be used on a 1999 Montero (Full Size)?

Regards,

Ron

Ron,

The bolt patterns are the same. You cannot use the 15s on a 2001 or newer because the calipers are too big. I do not understand why, however, you cannot use the 16s on an older Monty.

Nowont fit. Even though the bolt pattern is the same, he hub center bore on the wheel is smaller on the 3rd Generation Montero (2001-2005) than the 2nd Generation Montero you have (1999)- so the wheel won't fit over it. You can use the 15 or 16" wheels from any yearMontero Sport and it will fit right on your 1999Montero sincethe hub bore and bolt pattern are identical on the 2nd Generation Montero and the Montero Sport (of all years).
