Default XLS 4WD light indicator question

I am looking at a 2003 Montero XLS to buy from a local dealer. When I started it, the 4WD light in the dashonly has the driver side rear tire lite up. When I engage the 4WD both front tires lite up, but only the driver side rear. Is this a sign that something is wrong in the rear end? Any help would be appreciated.

It could be that the bulb has burned out in the dash.

I dont have those lights in my MS, butI would think it should light up like the rest. Don't walk away with it till that is fixed though...

those lights burn out all the time. it wouldnt surprise me if none of them worked!! LOL!! you have to remove the instument cluster to replace them. you have to get those bulbs from the dealer. they come withthe socket so all you do is turn it and remove. not a hard job!! good luck!! greg...
