Default 07 TSB - Throttle Hesitation

My dealer tells me that the two technical service bulletins to correct the throttle hesitation that is apparent on early builds (through May07) is only "applicable" to 2 wheel drive models and not the 4 wheel drive models.

Those that have had this updatedone...can you confirm?

I have an '07 4WD and had the TSB performed. It did improve the throttle response. I'm pretty sure it applies to both 2WD and 4WD.

I printed out the TSB info for the two updates and brought it in with my vehicle. The mechanic hooked it up to the computer (I could see the process) and he said that it would not let him do any updates to my vehicle. It noted that the updates are for 2wd models only.

Thanks for the info. If I take it in to the dealership service deptartment, is it free of charge to get the TSB fixed?

Thanks!

Good luck getting it done for free. I never gad any luck.

They said a car could have hundreds of TSB's and that they are different then recalls. Said usually less then 1/8 of 1% of cars actually have the tsb problem even if they are defined as being TSB'ed

I just called, they said no TSB's at Whittier,CA or Glendale,CA for service on the Outlander. I even called Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. at 1-888-MITSU2008. Representative took my VIN number and ran it and said no recall or TSB's found. So, I guess no repair for me. You guys should call and tell the MMNA what the concerns are. I called 3 locations and they are telling me the samething no recall or TSBs.

Does your VIN number fall into the applicable range?

Thanks for all your interaction on this topic. I've called Mitsubishi USA and openend up a case to have the issue looked into. The dealer treated me fine and I did see the computer hooked up. I'll give you an update when I hear back.
