I would think just the face plate and actual mmcs unit. I do not know if there are any differences between the RF systems and lower version as far as wiring. An 08 MMCS fit into my wife's 2007 without any problems but she had the RF system and it was from north america.

So do the Outlanders with the RF system have the loom and steering wheel controls and the base models do not? I just want to make sure for any future questions. I hate giving wrong information.

Not sure about non-North American Outlanders (I assume it is the exact same). All the wiring is present, all you need is the MMCS unit (and attached accessories like the CAN Bus adapter and metal brackets).
The easiest way to confirm is to take out your stereo (no need to unplug it) and look for a spare connector taped up behind it). You should have the 3 shows here:

Likewise, all the wiring is present for steering wheel controls, you just need to take off that metal part and you will see it (which may entail taking off the whole wheel)

Nope dude..
Japan imports don't run canbus ,Sirius either.
Firstly, to all who want to know if MMCS will work, a simple tell tale. Lift out your top dash pocket, look under it and if you see a GPS antenna then MABY you can PP but I highly doubt the BASE modekd would have the luxuries pre installed..

The antenna is part of the installation kit for MMCS...it does not come pre-installed in North America. As I said, not too sure of what is outside the US/Canada...presumably it came from the same factory and should have a similar setup. If you have those 3 connectors, you can just plug in MMCS.

Will the MMCS from a 2008 MR with FUSE system work on a 2012 Outlander SE with FUSE?

Not having a go at you mate, but be careful with advice you give when its a multinational forum

On the Australian Outladner, it is simply a plug and play matter, the third plug required is taped back on the loom, I upgraded my car from a non mmcs rf to a rf mmcs without a hickup, all works as it should
