I have an 08 Outlander, the car has been great, recently I noticed as I’m driving down the road there is a bit of a growling noise and a vibration once and a while coming from the front, if I put it in neutral while moving at 50K I notice the noise is still there even the motor rpms are down. It ramps up with speed. I don’t think it’s cv joints, If I crank hard left or right going slow no noise no grinding or clicking so thinking not cv joints. I’m almost thinking cv transmission? The fluid looks clear but a bit dark and smells a bit cooked, burnt. This is my wife’s car and I’m not sure how on top of servicing she has been.
