09 Outlander questions
My wife is driving an 09 Outlander V6 LS and she has been hearing some strange noises coming from under the hood. I thought she was crazy untill I heard them for myself. The noise I heard sounded like it was coming from the bottom end of the engine, crank or main bearings. Not a very nice sound to hear when there is only 17000 kms on the vehicle. Has anybody else be having these noises?
Another issue is with the transmission, feels like it is slipping and not downshifting/ upshifting like it should be. Local Stealership said there is nothing wrong with it. Has anyone had issues with the transmission?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Chris

Doesn't mean she is not crazy. Even if my wife is right about something (rarely), I still think she is crazy.
I have not heard of any complaints about the noise you are hearing from anyone else. I would take it to the stealership ASAP to have it looked at.
When does the noise happen? When the car is cold, accelerating, at speed, etc?
As far as the tranny goes, check out this thread.

Oh I still think she is half crazy . The first time she heard the noise was the next morning after an oil change, after the car sat in the garage all night, wasn't even cold out. When I first heard it, it sounded like the bottom end was falling out of it, not a very nice sound on a vehicle with under 17000 kms on it, and I could feel the vibrations in the gas peddle. If it happens again I will be calling Mitsu and they can send a flatbed to come and get it because I will not be driving it anywhere. Hope it is nothing serious. Kinda makes me wonder why the h*ll I bought an Japanese vehicle.

One of the things I always do after getting an oil change from my dealer is lift the hood and check all the fluid levels. I'm happy with the service I get from my dealer, but they're only human and I want to make sure everything, especially the oil, is at the proper level.
