2003 Outlander cooling fan question
Hello all,
On my girlfriend's Outlander there are two cooling fan motors. The one on the left will come on normally when the engine is running (the temp never goes over the halfway mark). The one on the right does not seem to come on. Is the one on the right side supposed to come on only when the A/c is on? This is the first Mitsubishi I am working on. All other cars I have worked on both fans come on to keep the engine cool. I searched in the forum and saw some folks refer to a fan that comes on when the A/C is running. I apologize for the newbie question. The vehicle is easy to work on I fixed her valve cover leak changed plugs and wires even replaced the bushings that keep the rear differential in place (originally thought she had a bad u joint (loud clunk when you put it in reverse) until i saw the bushings had pretty much given up the ghost.
Thank you

I have a 2010 Outlander so this didnt apply to mine, but would be something to check. I think it affected the 2003-2005 Outlanders.
