Lightbulb 2011 Outlander sport intelligent washer mode stopped working after wreck

Hi all, I have a 2011 Outlander sport that was recently in a car crash that damaged the front right side of the car. The windshield wiper reservoir was also crushed and replaced. Now that I get the car back, I tried engaging the intelligent washer mode, by pulling the windshield wiper control stick towards me, and it goes through the motions by engaging the wipers momentarily, but does not spray any washer fluid out.? However if I turn the end of the windshield control stick, the washer fluid sprays out fine. For whatever reason, the intelligent washer mode doesn't work anymore. I checked the owners manual, and it said it can be enabled/disabled through the entertainment center menus, which I went through every possible entry in the "wipers" section, and nothing made them work again. Anyone ever come across this problem, and know what to do.? Could there be a separate wire that was supposed to be connected to the wiper reservoir pump that sends the signal when "intelligent washer" mode is triggered.? Or could it be that the wrong type of washer reservoir and pump were installed and that model doesn't work with the intelligent mode.? I can't find any information online, I called Mitsubishi and they said I could pay 20$ a day to sign up for some tech data base they have on a website, but not sure if that will even give me the info I need. Any information would be great.

Thanks

E
