2014 Outlander New to MITSUBISHI A Couple Questions
We purchased a new 2014 Outlander the wife loves this car-
I have a question. This may be normal but I notice the engine sound rather loud when outside for a 4 cylinder. Almost like a diesel and we are not getting even close to the advertised mileage. Any insight would be great-

I had a 2011 4 cyl, SE model. It takes some break-in time for the mileage to approach what the mfg. claims.
Also remember that the mpg claims are under optimal conditions, and is an estimate.
If I remember correctly, after 1 year I was getting in the range of 25 mpg.
I traded in on a 2012 GT (V6,6sp auto.) I get 21+ with it.
This cold weather wreaks havoc with the mileage. When cold (in the teens or colder), mileage can drop by 5 mpg with no problem. Nothing wrong, just the nature of the beast.

I have an 2014 Sport and I' haven't noticed it being loud when it's idling, as fas as MPG back and forth to work last week in stop and go I was averaging 29 and on a 260 mile road trip I averaged 40 according the read out.
