2015 Outlander PHEV - EV System Warning after DC Fast Charging Incident
Hi all,
Having an issue with my 2015 PHEV (4hs spec) after a DC fast charging incident. Here's what happened:
- Left car on rapid charger overnight (charge would have completed many hours before return)
- Found 12V battery completely flat next morning
- Jump started successfully but got EV System Service Required warning and turtle mode
Current status:
- Used Car Scanner app to check codes
- Only active code is B2215 [0xA215] showing in EV module
- Already cleared all archived codes but B2215 keeps returning
- Car is running but EV warning remains
- All CMU voltages look normal (around 31.3-31.4V)
- OBD module voltage showing healthy 14.6V
The a service manual I found online (not sure if correct) shows B2215 as "ECU internal error" in the communication remote-ECU, with replacement suggested if code persists after reset.
Looking for advice:
1. Has anyone tried a full system reset by disconnecting 12V battery?
2. Any experience with replacing the communication remote-ECU?
3. Rough cost estimates for ECU replacement if needed?
Any help appreciated, particularly from those who've dealt with similar issues after charging problems.
Thanks!
