Default 2020 Outlander Disabling Auto Retracting Rear View Mirrors

I want to disable the auto retracting mirrors. As many times as I get into the car, I am concerned about wear on the mechanism for them. I have gone through the settings menu, but can not find anything related to it.

Did you get an answer to this issue? I’ve gone through everything and still it won’t turn off in the mmcs. I click “off” but it just doesn’t work in the keyless entry system..

Ask the dealer next time you visit. They can do it with their Dealer scantool.

It can be done with other scantools, I have a Snap-on one, and mine does it, but non dealers might not be able to find it in the menu.

But be assured the mechanism is perfectly up to the job. I have worked on these for seven years and have never seen one fail

Looks like that’s the only way. Good to know they are robust. 👍
