When I start the car everything looks good, but after rolling a bit, the 4WD-E Lock lights flash on the dash. The vehicle remains in 2WD. ABS warning light does NOT come on.
It seems to take only the slightest wheel spin to trigger the flashing. I'm thinking the car is having trouble engaging the 4WD system. Does this indicate that a switch has seized? The dealer is suggesting that I install an new ECU. I'm hoping for a less expensive next step.
