I've driven about 15.000 km on the Michelin Dimaris now. Should say that I found the Bridgestone Duellers were a lot better. The Michelins seem wobbly, especially at higher speeds and the grip is less. They're still reliable though and seem a bit more comfortable and make less noise.
I took a vacation to the south of France last month. When retuning home I decided to drive home without taking a hotel halveway. So I drove 1200 km taking me about 12 hours (including 2 hours rest) at about 150 km/h with a heavy rainstorm for the first 600 km (mostly hills). The trip was pleasant, no back pain or anything else that you would expect from such a long drive, passengers didn't complain as well.

 

I am swapping my OEM Goodyear Eagles LS2 to Goodyear Assurance Comfotred this weekend. I have 32000 miles on my 2007 Outlander XLS. The OEM tires are almost bald in the center.

I had good luck on the assurance comforted on my other car.

 

What is a good winter tire for the P225 18" that come on the 2009? I will buy a set of steel tires, so I need to know the offset too!

 

What are your winter tires? Did you use factory rims ?

 

I finally swaped mine out. I went with Pirelli P6s...Here in San Francisco, we do get a good amount of rain, but no snow...and I don't do any off roading.

They are pretty quiet and handling is excellent. Plus they look good. I got the stock size, 225/55-18.

 

I installed 4 Goodyear Assurance Comfotread tires replacing the OEM Goodyear Eagles LS2. The ride is smooth. This tires are also used by Honda Oddesey Van and Honda Element. I like the ride of these tires as I have on my Galant too.

Very reliable.

 

I got the LS with the 215/70/16 tires and I'm planning on buying the same size as the XLS eventually, the 225/55/18.

 

I cant wait to replace the OEM tires. On a long highway trip I found the Yoko's to wander a bit at higher speeds. I will probably keep the 16" rims for winter tires and eventually buy some rims for the summer.
