ASC off button question

for all those with this option, is there supposed to be an indicator on your display saying if it is off or on? i am asking because on my 08 xls, it doesn't say either way and wondered if that was normal.

I have the 08 too,
you have to keep the button in for like 5 second, you will see a ligh on the multi info dysplay say ASC off

good to know, thanks. i guess they would have made it that way so you don't accidently push it all the time.

There is another fool-proof feature: if you accidentally press "ASC OFF" button while driving orwhen stop and less than two seconds - this button will unoperable until you restart engine.
