In getting ready to purchase my 2013 Outlander LS I was surprised to learn that they are all "Bluetooth Capable," but that you have to pay to have it activated. The sales rep said it was around $600, but luckily mine was a lease return with it already activated. Hope that helps!

Now my questions are if it is fried which it most likely is is it covered under warranty, or is it gonn come outta my pocket for a new module? What would the costs be for one if I have to pay, am I looking at a few hundred bucks? Used or New? Hopefully it is covered under warranty!

First read this thread and try out what it recommends:
Bluetooth Buttons Not Responding - Mitsubishi-Forums.com

If that does not work, call or email a local Mitsubishi dealer's service department and give them the VIN. I did this recently when our vehicle had a rear axle seal leak and this is what the service department emailed to me about our particular vehicle's warranty coverage. Notice what it says about coverage on audio, navigation, etc. The warranty advertisement about "bumper to bumper" may indeed be true, but, as you can see, the conditions of that warranty for each component can be vastly different.

I bought mine in the US....about $180, that included the mic. Installed it in the parking lot, and I didn't have to activated anything. It just worked right out of the box.
