Default Check oil level warning on dash

Hi

the warning check oil level came up yesterday. I checked it and it was massively over what it should of been. After checking the owners manual I took it to my mechanic who did a full oil and filter change as stated in the manual. However I now can’t clear the warning on the dash no mater what I do. It’s been suggested only Mitsubishi can clear this? Has anyone discovered how to do it without going to them? Many thanks in advance.

no sadly not. This an oil level warning. Not a maintenance schedule issue. Thanks for pointing this out though.

Don't know if you got this sorted or not, I had the same thing last week.
Check oil light came on, so I changed the oil, light still on, took it to my local garage, to be told the oil pressure sensor had low voltage across it, so replaced with an OEM Switch.
Light still on, but he couldn't reset it for love nor money.
I took it to my nearest mitsubishi dealer who had to reset the the service schedule to allow the check oil light to be rest. Sounds weird I know, but I sort of suspected that's what he'd have to do after reading up on other forums.

Speaking of course to select the oil is a separate art and then you need to do it based on what kind of car, what engine and so on. I had to pick up for a cummins diesel engine, and this is quite a rare oil. But luckily I even got a list of oil for cummins diesel engines https://davesoilchange.com/best-oil-for-cummins-6-7/ . It was easier to choose from these, so I did not regret it. I hope it will be just as useful for you.

Default Same issue

Hi just wondering if you ever managed to get your oil warning light problem sorted.I’m having identical troubles with mine and I’ve been unable to delete the code off with my foxwell scanner tool. Many thanks in advance

There is a reason your oil level is rising. Your DPF is not regenerating, and the excess fuel that is trying to start the regen is diluting your engine oil. This needs attention.
