Driver Seat Side Over Broken

See the red line on the seat cover. The cover on mine is coming off. There is suppose to be 2 clips to hold it, but it doesnt seem to hold. I bought it to the dealer and one of the techs said the clips are probably wore on it, and it will probably be under the vehicle's warranty. So I went back to the dealer to show their Service Manger, and he said it wasn't cover by warranty. The warranty for that specific part is only for one year? The guy also said there was a great amount of pressure to the cover. Like seriously, look at the location of the cover, why/how could you apply pressure to there, the only pressure is from siting on the seat...
Is this true for the one year warranty for the seat cover?!?!
I'm going to email Mitsubishi Canada for further help for that problem.
I just want to know if there is only Outlanders having the same problem.

No problem here. And it SHOULD be coverd, thats BS. Unless you have some strange Canadian rules.....
I just had my whole seat frame replaced under waranty for the issue with seat movement under hard braking and/or accelerating. It was a pain for the dealer seperating the seat from the frame. They said they wish they would of just ordered a WHOLE seat.
................. its covered, bumper to bumper doesnt mean they can pick and choose.... unless its from neglect or accidental damage.

Is it just me or maybe only in Canada that it's pretty hard to have something fixed under warranty ? Seems like a lot a dealers are putting up a fight for things that should be covered. I had a little piece of plastic that broke off under my 2009 Outlander LS and it was hanging underneat the car and the dealer said that I hit something on the road that broke it off and because of that they didn't want to cover it. I explained to them that I didn't go off-roading and I didn't hit anything but there was nothing they were willing to fix. I was pretty pissed off and it was only a 30$ part.
I'm looking forward to have something else break just to see if they will cover it.

Sad to hear its that hard to do a warranty claim...I have to do the hesitation on start and extremely bad radio reception TSBs. Anybody from Vancouver know which dealer is the best to do warranty claims at?
I have the exact same problem on my 2007 XLS. I tried a few times to put the clips back in place but they just keep separating. I haven't bothered talk to the dealership. Maybe not anymore...
