Hi all, new member here. I just bought a used '07 Outlander with MMCS and would like to do the in motion patch on the DVD. I have Loader ver BLD-NR-261UM 1.09 and App ver 00.20.62 which I think is earlier than the original patch. I have acquired nr261um.00003099.nodvd.rar, will this work on my earlier version or do I need a specific patch file to match my version? Thanks for any input!

 

Yes You can use it, it will upgrade Yours MMCS some
I did the same with Nicholas from Greece, he bought Mitsubishi from US with NR-261 UM, and he bought european maps to upgrade but of course it was not possible
We unlocked HDD, we changed maps for european and we replaced original loading.kwi 20.xx to 30.99
I think You should just burn CD, and upgrade, please note: must be CD not DVD !!!
Download and install IMGBurn, and burn CD with the lowest possible speed

CD should contain two files:

Thanks for the reply! Everything seems to be working after the update. APP now shows 30.99 instead of 27.00. MAP DATA now reads "M080 ANA-07-200601B" whereas before it said "080B A0604" but I am assuming that since the LOADING.KWI file was relatively small, that it did not actually update my maps. Do I need to find new maps somewhere?

 

Loading.kwi is a system file only.
You don't need to change maps, that's separete with system but of course newer maps are more up-to-date

I have no idea about US maps

 

the US and EU MMCS read map data differently, which is odd, they can be converted from one version to another but doing a raw data dump of just the map data is not easy on USA MMCS. this winter i will package a complete upgrade that has the new maps for us stateside folk, and HOPEFULLY get around to figuring out the in motion patch.

 

in the meen time has anyone else tried the ssd drive swap that i mentioned a couple pages back? post your results. info is always good.

It's necessary to leave both VOICE.ME files on map partion from US version. It's american english voice file which NR-261UM is using and looking for
All other files everyone can just overwrite and it's perfect works.
We done that many times in Poland in MMCS instaled in cars imported from USA

 

that is totally correct, what i should have said is the MAP data only is STORED slightly different on the US model. while changing a US model to EU is easy. and updating the map data only on an EU model is fairly easy, updating the MAP DATA on a US model to a newer version is slightly more difficult then the EU models.

 

what about the 2011's, how does this work?
