Hi, there is no patch for 6x.xx versions. Unlock HDD and manually replace patched loading.kwi 50.xx
I don't have 6x.xx loading.kwi but I think there is not a big different.
1.09 that's bootloader version

I had installed 30.xx 40.xx and 50.12 patched firmwares and I didn't found any big differencies.
All of them works perfect with european maps.
You can download 50.12 here: https://rapidshare.com/#!download|96...owed.rar|13263
More info but in polish: Mmcs mitsubishi - polish:Elite:board

Allright, I just read most of the thread (up until page 46, then jumped right to the end), which is ridiculously long, hehehe

Ends up I have NR-261UM 1.09, app version 00.70.04.
Seems there's no patch since version 5x.xx, so I'm just out of luck?

Only option being unlocking HD manually and applying loading.kwi, right?
(which version should I use, if this is the case?)
I guess the following question would be: Is there any loss of function when you downgrade the application from 7x.xx to 39.xx?

Thanks for any answers...

Thre's no patch for UM since 30.99 (and it's only one UM app patched version as I know)
I don't know what's new in 60.xx or 70.xx versions

I am hesitating to do it also. As it is not certain what function will be impacted espacially since it is linked to the CANbus of the auto. So who had experienced the downgrade
of the EM application from 6x.xx to 50.xx? What was the observation? Wivaldi said he did not observe changes among 4x, 5x series but with higher series?

Hello,
My experiment:
Reading this thread for a long time, I did this test unsuccessful with my C-Crosser
261-EM V 1.10
After unlocking the HDD using the excellent rcostin thread, I managed to manually replace both ALLDATA.KWI and LOADING.KWI files (LOADING.KWI alone did'nt do anything) V50.12 as pointed out by WiValdiBB.
The MMCS did a permanent reboot cycling process (radio working without any interface).
Then I managed to cold reboot the unit by removing during 30 mn the fuse n°7 --> MMCS complete bricked demanding for a system disk, nothing else.
By chance I could reverse the process by manually restoring the two files and everything came up (even the RDS radio restored the memorized stations).

you have to be very close in versions for the downgrade to work. other wise you will run into the bootloop and hard lock. yes copying the original files back on and cold booting will fix it.

heh, ive got to find all of my notes and stuff but i have some time today. im going to try and bust out a 6x.xx UM in motion patch today and tomorrow.

seriously.

yes, seriously.

no. im not joking.

i do have to dig through stacks of notes and files to catch back up on my work. still, high probability of me having something to show for it by this weekend.

NOTE: on the UM version there was huge changes and some added new features going from 30.99 to the 6x.xx branch. if i some how manage to get the in motion patch done today, i will work on a universal UM map update pack that does not require the hardware dongle to install.
