BTW side note here you can not use a IBM ThinkPad to do this process since the thinkpad wont boot off a CD when a locked drive is installed.

To plug in the iPod adapter mentioned above into the MMCS, do you have to remove the unit or can you sneak it in another way?

How much did you pay for this? Have you installed yours? You mention about a push button that takes you back and forth from the GPS screed to the Video screen, how fast is the GPS picking back up on the signal? Thank you.
I paid around USD 150$ plıus shipment from Japan.I have already installed mine and now I can watch anything I want while the car is in motion. ( You can watch DVD, TV, VIDEO, VIDEO INor anything that is connected to MMCS screen while the car is in motion )

When you disactivate the switch you immediately get the "IMAGE CAN NOT BE DISPLAYED DURING DRIVING" message on the MMCS and the GPS picks up satellite signals in a few seconds.

However when I look at this Japanese site I see now that have a new kit which also allows you to have the GPS switched on while driving and watching something.

I aggree with you , I was waiting for Otaku to come up with the AUX in MOTION ,but I was kinda in a hurry due to my baby willing to watch cartoons on the MMCS screen. (not all are DVD's , some VCR's and they can't be watched on MMCS) so I used some Japanese contacts and bought this kit.
