Arrow Idle Neutral Control

Hello guys,

Is it safe to modify the "Idle Neutral Control" ETACS setting on a 2010 1.8 CVT Lancer Sportback and will it make any difference during driving and concerning fuel efficiency? It's hard to find any information on this topic, especially in regard of Lancers...

A screenshot from ETACS Decoder is attached where you can see my ETACS version if it matters.

CVT-ECU determines if the idle neutral control is operating normally.
If the following condition is met during idle neutral control.

[(Difference between the engine speed and the turbine speed) - Target slip speed] is greater than 300 r/min for 10 seconds.

Thank you for the clarification on this topic, Earl_Vadim!
Does it make sense to enable it in ETACS on my 2010 1.8 CVT Lancer Sportback? Is it safe and is any additional hardware needed in order to work on a standard CVT transmission?
How can I test the difference after such modification in order to be sure that it is working properly? I suppose that when applying brakes (e.g. while waiting on a traffic light) and all conditions are met, the dashboard gear indicator should remain in "D" position? Or is it switched to "N" automatically without touching the gear selector?

Any help on this ETACS parameter would be appreciated, guys!

I am not sure if idle neutral control works on anything but on 2010+ 6AT.

It does not shift D-N-D (that would lead to excessive gear friction wear), from what I know it uses special clutch to disengage torque converter.
Neither pre-2010 6AT nor any CVT have this extra clutch.

Thanks, Vadimus!
It's totally clear now...

One more question regarding "Coming home" and "Follow me home" lights. Is it worth trying to activate these functions from "Custom coding" menu (with "Edit" button) if they DON'T appear in "Variant coding"?
As I stated earlier, ETACS version is reported by ED as 8637A320/466. This is european Lancer Sportback 1.8 CVT 2010.

Hi, I'm trying to make my Outlander Sport windows auto close. What I have done so far is I've installed a module to make all windows with one touch close/open. I used diagbox 7.02 (I can't seem to upgrade to the latest 7.61 patch) to connect to the etacs via Citroen - C4 Aircrosser and I have changed the windows setting to P3 MMAL (my options were only P1, P2, P3MMAL, P4 (default)). But the windows auto close are not working. Can someone help me out to make it work?

In order to use built-in auto windows up/down logic you need to change all other doors 3 motors/buttons/controllers. Some 3rd party module won't do the trick.

Thanks for the reply Vadimus. But this 3rd party module was tested on ASX China and it worked. And I'm trying it on ASX Indonesia. The only difference is China ASX is left hand drive and my ASX is right hand drive. Does that matter?

Well, that's something new I haven't heard about.

AFAIR Type 1 was used on older pre-2010 Outlanders with all 4 auto windows.

Are both ASX's of same model year?
