Not going to Niagara anytime soon?

From over there, drive a bit farther North, and I can help you

Thanks man! I have been planning a trip to Canada with my wife and kids but they decided that Disneyland first! hehe.

There is no way to enable the Fogs without the tool is there? Like how you can enable it with the 07-09 Outie's?

Just buy the cable, it's like $40.

I assume with the cable I can download the software to my computer and enable it from there? Is it really that simple?

Please school me as this is new to me.

You get the cable, the software is a free download for personal use, you plug the cable into your PC USB and the other end into your cars OBD2 port, go through all the options you want to set (there's 200+ things you can change) and then click to encode and write to the car's computer... Restart the car and your new options take effect.

Then you can register on the etacsdecoder site as a cable owner in NY and then when the next guy comes looking for someone with a cable in your area there will be one

I still can't get TPMS disabled without throwing codes for ASC and ABS. Has anyone been successful in setting TPMS to "not present", and nothing else goes wrong?

I don't have that cable or the new software but I have disabled and enabled my TPMS many times.

How much changes when you encode the new settings on that long string?

So i tried it again and copied the encoded string. This is what i got:
Before: 84124201101300086B007D06C02611041F80003A00015220CD C1F9E0EA008A82E9A8352FA4802009A001A021
Encode/write: 84124201101300086B005D06C02611041F80003A00015220CD C1F9E0EA008A82E9A8352FA4802009A001A021
After: 84124201101300086B005D06C02611041F80003A00015220CD C1F9E0EA008A82E9A8352FA4802009A001A021

Basically on the 21st digit the 7 turns to a 5, or 0111 becomes 0101.

It's just 1 bit, but for some reason disabling the bit takes out the ABS and ASC as well?? Anyone have any clues.

Yes, everyone

Is your ETACS number detected properly?
