Hi, I have a 2017 outlander that came with the temporary spare under the back floor. I’m taking a road trip into the backcountry and don’t want to to rely on the temporary spare if I’m a long way from a tire shop.
Does anyone know if a full sized spare fits in the factory under the back floor spare tire holder? Thanks

 

Yeah, it should fit. If uou want to be sure, just take off one your wheels and try to fit it in the spare back place.

I just figured out I can’t use the 16” spare tire rim for the stock size (215/70R16) as it is only 4 inch. So I would need a new rim also.

 

After reading this answer I tried it on my 2014 Outlander and it doesn't come close to fitting but I'm considering modifying the carrier. I have checked the space and there is enough space under there.
