Default Grinding / Scraping noise when cornering with hot brakes

I’ve noticed that on my UK 2010 Diamond that when the brakes are hot after a couple of big stops and then pushing the car hard down some lanes, when cornering there is a scraping noise coming from the front of the car.

I’ve noticed this before after a downhill stop from high speed fully laden with camping gear last year, when the front pads were approaching the end of the life. However the pads were replaced (with OEM) in March this year, and the noise is back.

I guess something is expanding with the heat, and then rubbing somewhere, but what on what! Any ideas? Is the rust on the rim of the worn brake rotor / disc the issue and it’s catching something?

I would check the clearance if the dsc backing plate, it may be rubbing on the dsc when hot. If it is to cose it can be easily bent back by hand or with a large screwdriver or bar
