Default HID Replacement Outlander Sport

Noob here, please dont flame me for this question. I just got a brand new 2011 Outlander Sport AWD 2 weeks ago and it came with factory HID lights already installed. I wanted to replace them with the blue HID lights, has anyone done this already? and do you just change out the bulbs or do you have install the entire HID kit?

leave them alone, the bluer the light is the lesser the light output you have.. blue light is only for the cool factor. keep the oem HID, i wished i got them in the beginning. oh also your talking about a stock 1600 dollars warranty back system compared to a 100-300 non warrantied item. i wouldn't do it.

i agree, the stock ones work. i looked at the bulbs and they seem to be a different size of hid bulb that comes with the ignitor already installed. if you want color would a lamin-X film be an option? you keep the stock system and just add the film on the exterior, plus it protects your lights. I ordered a set of yellow for the fogs, but they have other colors and lights available. lamin-x.com

Why would you want to make them more blue? Do you have an aversion to seeing where you're going? The blue color temperature is horrible when it's wet or snowy out. Your usable light is reduced significantly due to absorption as well. By usable light I mean how far down the road you can see. Not to mention that it just looks stupid.

well its their vehicle so let them do what they want, no reason to flame them because they disagree with your viewpoints.

Actually, that is exactly the perfect reason to flame someone.

Not sure where I said I disagreed with anyone suggestions, whether it is was a flame or not LOL, I welcome all feedback (as a noob I expected to be flamed a couple of times LMAO), consensus is to leave it as is, so that’s what I will do. Thanks everyone
