How many miles are on your Outlander? What year is it? How is it holding up?
My 2007 XLS is at 148k miles now and runs great. It drives OK. I recently replaced the shocks and struts, but the steering doesn't feel real tight. I've had more than one person look at it and nothing was found wrong with any tie rods, ball joints, control arms, bushings, etc., so I don't know what might improve the meandering steering. Steering rack issues?
Other than that, I haven't done much more than routine maintenance as recommended in the manual. I've never even had to replace a headlight on this thing. I only just replaced the original brake rotors. Also did all the recall items (there were at least 4). Had to replace the widely defective HVAC fan and the radiator filler cap piece that broke and sprayed coolant everywhere, but that's about it. It's paid for, so I could see keeping it for another couple years.
Age-related issues: Not much. The driver side auto-up function on the window doesn't always work, nor does the emergency key work in the door lock. The clear coat is starting to crackle on the roof. The Bluetooth module stopped working (and that seems pretty common, too). Even the resistance to rust, compared to other cars, has been impressive.
Edit: Of course, three days after I post this, I discover my radiator is leaking. I should have kept my mouth shut! I did find, though, that the dealer OEM radiator costs 7-8 times more than what's available aftermarket. This is a repair I will not be doing at the dealer!

I'm at 230k miles now on the '07. Mechanically very strong. Current weak points are lower control arms (replaced with Moog, which are junk) and the exhaust (just flat out rusting away). I hope to get 300k out of it.
Just went over 140,000 miles on my 08 XLS. It has been a reliable vehicle and seems really tight mechanically still. I did have to replace the exhaust this year.
I am looking to replace it next year. 2019 GT is on my short list to consider.
