I GOT FOG LIGHTS!!!
Yesterday i went to the local swap meet and was able to pick up some projector fog lights for like 2 bucks a piece. Thats right only 4 dollars form some projector fog lights, and today i went ahead and installed them. This morning I went to look for the connectors so the install would be clean, and the first junk yard i went to had them for an uber low price of 3 buck so a total of six bucks for the oem pigtails. After that i went to home depot and bought some bolts and a metal cutting blade for a grand total of like 6 bux. After some finessing, a cut thumb and a few curse words i had them installed. i think they look great compared to some 15 dollar lights that i got at harbor freight. Let me know what you think. Oh, if you want to know these are of an oldsmobile alero.

RE: I GOT FOG LIGHTS!!!
The pic of the whole front of the car is pretty dark, but they look good in the small pics. Will this interfere with the transmission cooler getting enough air though? I thought of putting some larger fog lights in that location but decided against it due to the vent for the cooler being right there. Why do we even NEED the transmission coolers on our cars, usually only see them from the factory on trucks and SUV's for towing or street/strip. The Outlander was certainly not designed initially for either. hmmmm, any thoughts?
Anyway, back to the lights.... nice job.

we should be lucky to have tranny coolers, if we didnt i wouldnt be surprised to see our tranny give out like at 60k or something near that. that is not to say that it still wont happen but, if you dont know already a fwd tranny is one of the weakest tranny ever produced, it deals with heat from the motor, its own heat generated and is compressed into a small package. yes the cooler does need some air to be cool but one thing that needs to be understood is that when fluid is out of the tranny it naturally cools through the fins, so it necessarily doesnt need air to do its job as long as it is going through fins. so thanks for the comment and i will try to get better pics tonight when she is clean and some night shots.
