I had the dealer replace the clock spring mechanism in the steering wheel. This is a well known problem with the '07 Outlander and they keep a whole box of new clock springs handy. I paid $154 to have it done. Good Luck!

Did that fix your bluetooth? I'm having the same problem where the bluetooth buttons do nothing.

Have the same problem, for me it's not the clockspring, have changed it for an eBay special and it's exactly the same.

Volume buttons and seek buttons don't work either, nothing on the left side of the wheel basically. Had replacing the clock spring resolved this particular issue for anyone?

Exclamation steering wheel controls not working on left side

So I have a beautiful 07 Outlander XLS and everything was working right until the warranty expired...I noticed I am having the same issue some of you haveither in which my steering wheel controls are not working at all including voice command, phone answer/hang up, and both volume and seek controls, has anybody tried to replace the clock spring on their own and had any success?
If I have to try doing that I hope the air bag will not blow up in my face

Default Mitsubishi Triton mn

Hi can anyone help solve my issue. I have just brought a 2010 Mitsubishi Triton GLX/R mn & the steering wheel controls don’t work but if I turn the steering wheel & press the buttons the work sometimes. I have played around with the wires & sometimes they work.
