Had a failed turbo and oil dilution in the last few days. Waiting for a mechanic to look at it. Symptoms, whistling sound, over about 80km distance of easy driving resulted in loss of power and metallic noise from turbo, turbo shot. Strangely no warning lights on dash for dpf or anything else or limp mode…. Oil level increased in engine was between full and x mark when checked and 30-40km later was slightly above x, when turbo went… 140,000km and full independent service about 8,000 km ago with oil change….. the main feedback to date is possibly dpf (but no lights on dash ever for this) or injector…. Felt for a while that engine sound was a bit muffled when being driven, ie listening to it when someone else was driving the car at low speeds…. Any pointers would be helpful…. Most likely suggestion at the moment is dpf causing back pressure on turbo and Regen malfunction causing diesel in oil and turbo bearing failure

 

Other possibility mentioned was potential problem with oil pump….
