Default Parasitic draw fuse 18 (control unit relay fuse) 0,8 amp draw drains battery

Hi.

Mitsubishi Outlander Phev 2.4 4wd hybrid 2015-model.

I’ve used a voltmetre and located the draw. The battery keeps running flat due to the draw. I have no idea where the relay is, but I checked all the relays in the engine room (also the spare unit to the left). When pulling out the different relays I got no measurements on the voltmetre. However, the fuse gives a significant draw. I cant pull the fuse out all the time as the fuse is to the control unit relay. What more can I check to locate the draw? Any good ideas? The battery is good (tested) and never goes under 10. It’s stable at 12 to 14. Any wires I could check or any other good ideas?

depending how fancy you want to get, first thing is to search wiring diagrams of you can find them and see what fuse 18 actually runs. Find out where that relay is because it sounds like you’re pulling random relays and haven’t struck gold yet. If you want to get really fancy get a thermal imager and have a look around one day after the car has been sitting without running for a few hours (overnight would be best). A draw with cause heat and that will show up on a thermal scan.
