Default projector foglamp and 3rd row seat

Hi. Newbie here.

Are there any aftermarket projector-type auxiliary lamp that can replace the stock foglamps? Would like to retain the stock on/off switch for the foglamps.

How much are the OEM third row seats? Can't seem to find these being offered as an add-on option.

Thanks

Its not like buying mud flaps and they have them in stock. Give the dealer a call and really give them a hard time looking something like that up. ORRRRR I know someone on here has taken theirs out to put stereoequipment under there maybe they are willing to sell you the whole set up.I havent looked at the model with out 3rd seats yet but do you have all the brackets and places to mount them? Compare yours to a model with the 3rd row seats adn see if it is possible first.

I have the day time running lights because of the HID package so I dont know about the fogs. I would think that theres just a connector on the wire harness. Crawl under there and see how it is wired up. All your looking to do is change the stock fog and put in a different set. It will involve some cutting of wires and sodering. More than likely 2 wire set up. I would say a power and ground.

IIRC in looking at mine, there are a few welded in mounting points for the seat. I would definitely check to see if all the needed brackets and mounting points are in yours before trying to buy someone else's seat.

You will just have to investgate the aftermaket projector lamp driving light options to see what will fit. Just be carefull that you don't overdraw the existing wiring. If what you put in pulls more amperage than the stock wiring and switch can handle, you may need to add a relay and route direct power from the battery or an accessory location in the fuse block. You could stillswitch the relay, and in turn the lights, withthe existing wiring and switch that way.

Heh.. I'm the guy who pulled mine out for stereo stuff (so juvenile ).
I'd definately sell the setup, but I think you would find it to be far too much trouble.

I'm pretty sure the seat itself would bolt right in. It's all one single big mechanism with a big black plate that bolts to the floor. When you get it out, it's a 75lb springloaded trip to the hospital if it pops open while you are carrying it. It's likely thatthe mount holes holes are on all models, and are just unused. Same for seatbelt mount points. The base frame of the car is probably not different between the trim levels (that's why they call them trim levels

That's the good news though...
You'd have to hack the carpet and underpadding up a LOT.
Look on the upper rear corner of the cargo area on the side trim panel. The seatbelt mounts there, and if you don't have a hole or a plug there, then you'd have to buy a new panel. Same with the lower panel... there's a place where the seatbelt passes through, and if you don't have that slot, you're buying another peice. They KILL you on interior peices (don't ask how I know), and these are the biggest peices in the car!

So it's probably not too practical unless you are really desperate. If you ever get that far, let me know and I could probably help you out with the seat hardware (god knows how much they'd charge for that monster).

Isn't that strange, those who have it want it out, and those who don't, want it installed. Me I have it and I love it. Didn't get to use it yet but it's definitely a feature I want to have. The XLS fully loaded is reall the best value for money if you like most of the features included.

Thanks guys for the info. My dealer or any other in my area have no idea about the 3rd row seats. Lucky for you guys these are offered as standard option in your region.

But you also have a diesel, which isn't available in the US.
