Default RVR (Outlander Sport) aftermarket radio issue

Hi,
I own 2011 RVR GT with premium audio but with ordinary radio (no touch screen) I wanted to upgrade my radio and found the local seller with full kit and Pioneer head unit. When I connected the radio to my car there was no sound at all coming from my speakers.
I double-checked and everything was connected, seller stated that the unit was working in his car before he removed it. Sadly I didn't purchase this radio and returned home. I had airbag light illuminated on my dash so I connected the diagnostic unit and it was showing CAN error. Is there a possible reason why there was no sound? Is there any special harness for premium audio to upgrade to aftermarket head unit?
Best Regards
Jocker01

Read this thread from post #19 till #29. Your airbag light and DTC code came in because of one or some combination of the following things: 1. You did not disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before working on the electronics; 2. Disconnected the passenger airbag light indicator harness from the face plate of the radio while the battery was connected; 3. Reconnected the battery and tested the radio without reconnecting the passenger airbag indicator harness. Please keep in mind that removing any airbag harness requires the battery be disconnected.

Thanks for the link :d
I know why I had airbag light: I disconnected passenger airbag light from the dash when I removed the radio trim. After connecting the obd scanner and removing the fault airbag light disappeared.

Although the link is somehow helpful it looks like the owner of this particular rvr did not have Rockford Fosgate (didn't have a subwoofer in the trunk)
