Default Tailgate closing

Hi all, I have a new Outlander, bought in February, and some idiot smashed into the back of it in May. Today after the 4th visit back to the repair shop, is the tailgate actually closing fully. My question is, does anyone else find their tailgate difficult to close? Pretty sure I only used to drop it shut, but now it needs slamming, and repairer says it's normal. Fecking damned if I'm going back AGAIN.

Was not repaired properly. Go back or not go back it needs to be adjusted somewhere.

It's in for a service with Mitsubishi today anyway, just annoyed crash repairers keep telling me it's normal when it was nothing like that out the showroom.

Repairer was working off the wrong spec sheet originally, they hadn't pulled the back end out enough by 3mm. That was enough for an air gap

Still the same, Mitsi said they adjusted as much as they could so needs to go back. I should learn how to do it myself and try 😀

Are these Geniuses sure that the switch did not get damaged a little, enough to affect it's operation?
