Hello Folks,

I'm new to this forum but am very excited to be part of the collective here. I just bought a used 07 Outi XLS AWD fully loaded without Nav. Funny thing was I bought it at my Father-in law's Honda dealership (that didn't excite him too much...though he gave me thumbs up, especially since it was rather cheap).
Of course like everyone else, running the heater in the car has been top priority and it does work well. Too well as a matter of fact... the climate control either on Auto or manual mode seems to be extremely scewed toward the hot end of the spectrum. I'll never turn it past 75F since it will get blistering hot and then it will take a long time for it to cool down once turned down to like 65F. It's like turning the dial from hot to cold has no effect for at least 5 min or longer. I couldn't imagine turning it all the way on hot as that would be unbearable. Any suggestions? Might it be broken?

 

Yes, mine does that too. However, my heater does not work at all for the first 15 mins and comes on at once making it very hot (a known issue).
Is your A/C light on? If not and outside air is selected, it will heat up as it goes through the same path as the heated air did before...turning on A/C seems to allow cold air to come faster.
