Have anyone replace / change the transmission fluid?
Is Save to use non-mitsubishi fluid?

it is NOT safe to use non mitsu fluid.

why on earth are people so adverse to using the correct fluid on these boards? go buy the correct stuff.

I just got the tranny fluid changed and used Diaqueen or whatever Mitsu calls it. I didn't have much information from anyone on here about whether or not you could use something else or I would have.

I use BG Syncroshift in my Evo. F spending that kinda money when BG has a comparable or better product for cheaper.

dont buy the marketing.
For the most part, gear lube is gear lube. There are some synthetics out there, but if the car doesnt call for them you're wasting money. The MR evo is the only one that does.


Auto trans fluid is different due to the varying additives and co-efficient of friction.

A manual trans will usually shift fine no matter what you put in it.. motor oil, ATF, GL-3, 4, or 5.. An auto trans, not so much.

I couldn't find any info about the DiaQueen standard..so I'd play it safe with the Mitsubishi product
