USB Connectivity
Hi,
I have the 2015 Outlander GX3 (UK) and I'm sure there's something amiss with the way the previous owner has set up the USB. The connection in the center console (next to the AC power socket) does not work and there's a USB extender cable situated in the glove box.
The one in the glove box works with both Apple car play and Andoid Auto but I'm certain that whomever had the car before me, has rerouted this connection from the center console socket. Perhaps he/she has plugged the extension cable directly into the back of the Multifunction suite.
Either way, I don't like it and want to put it back to the way it should be. All help greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Is the actual USB socket still intact in the center console ????? if so my thoughts would be they have left it all there but just unplugged it at the back of the stereo and plugged a new cord into the back of the stereo in to go to the glovebox.
That's what I thought so my question now is how do I get to the back of the stereo unit?
If you have a FUSE Link Bluetooth system in your car (which I believe you do) the USB wire is connected directly to the Bluetooth Module (the Bluetooth Module has 2 connectors on it. The smaller of the two is for USB). Both cables come out of the same wire harness. I believe the Bluetooth module for your vehicle is probably located below your radio. As an after thought I can only think of two scenarios in your situation. Worse case scenario is that the previous owner cut the USB connector and spliced a new wire to run to the glove box. Best case scenario is that the original connector was not cut and still there in tact. just remove the one connected to the Module and re-connect the original connector. You won't know that till you remove the radio and see for your self. Hope this helps.

Your Bluetooth module should look like this.

The two original Bluetooth connector should look like this.
