Weird Series of Clicks when Key put into "On" position
I've recently noticed that when I turn the fastkey **** to the second position, "On", just before turning it to crank the engine, I hear a series of fast clicks coming from the driver's side of the engine bay. They sound like a bunch of relays turning on and off very quickly for about 1-2 seconds. Everything seems to be working properly. Is this sound normal, or should I take it to the dealer??
I have worked at a Mitsu dealer since '04 and every Mitsu does it. I was told it is the fuel system pressurizing. I don't know if thats true but it sounds good. It is normal and nothing to worry about.
I don't know about that. I've owned and driven quite a few cars and I've never heard anything like this noise. Maybe its just normal on most Mitsubishis.
thanks, this honestly seems like a more reasonable explanation.
if it goes something like: CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK at about a quarter to half second interval, it is normal. You will hear the fuel prime relay and everything else you hear I think I was told is related to the ABS system..
