Default Buying Advice

I recently bought a 2008 Suzuki SX4 sedan from my mitsubishi/suzuki dealership for around 16k. Great little car unfortunatly i got rear ended into an intersection and slammed by an SUV, so that put an end to that. Seeing as how my family has bought 4 cars from this dealership ecplise, lancer, (pre-owned) sentra and my SX4 i figured they could give me a good deal on my newest vehicle. I went to check out the lot and found they had one '08 raider ext. cab with a manual transmission left over brand new. From what i can see its a pretty stripped down model with all the basics and nothing special (no power locks or windows). Im not a huge car buff but i would love to get a truck and this seems like a great truck to get started with. I was able to talk them down to 12k and 4.9% APR which seems like a steal for a truck like this. Just wanted anyone elses opinian on wether im getting a good deal or not, if this is a good starter truck and if trying to figure out mods and add-ons down the line would be way to difficult for me or not. Thanks.

P.S. i work at an audi dealership shuffling cars around so the techs can help me with larger problems but id like to do it myself.
