Howdy, does anyone know if the 2007 Dodge Dakota tailgate is identical to the the 2007 Raider? My tailgate is messed up and I can find Dakota tailgates but no joy on Raider tailgates. Thanks.

My tailgate on my 08 raider was messed up too. And I thought about doing the same thing. However, the mouldings on the Dakota tailgate are a little bit different. The tailgate would bolt on with no problem, but the mouldings on the top part of the tailgate wouldn't look right. But if you don't mind the slight difference, I would swap them out if you get one for a good price!

After looking for a few months I finally found a tailgate. But I had to shed some $$$$ due to the fact that they're rare.

Ohhhh and even the Dakotas from 2000 and up have the same dimensions.

 

Got lucky last week and on my FedEx route I had to deliver to a salvage yard and they told they finally got in a good one.
