'03 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
So, I changed out a bad ground cable a month or so ago, (note, the old one had connections for a remote start that wasn't replaced) . Now, the car won't start when it's hot. Soon as the sun goes down, it's cloudy out or I park in shade, it's starts up just fine.
I have also poured cool water over the heat shield over the starter, and can get it to finally start.
The battery was bought last year.
Could it be maybe a loose connection somewhere since I didn't chase down the remote start wires and remove them? Or is the starter just going out?
Nothing I've read exactly relates, that's why the post.
Thanks for your input. I tend to try and do what work I can on my car, so some good advice is always appreciated.
