Aaah wonderful internet
Hello, thanks for existing Mitsubishi Forum and please forgive a noob for trying his luck. I just spent $1000 on a service to try and get rid of a noise in a a 2005 Mitsubishi Airtrek and it made it worse! I don't trust the only Mitsubishi Service/Dealer in the area anymore, hence this reaching out.
I realize that seeing posts by newbies begging for help with a car problem is not the aim of this forum and it must get old pretty quickly especially if people come here for more interesting things.
I do hope however that someone out there had a similar experience and can point me in the right direction.
In a nutshell the problem:
Automatic 2005 Turbo Airtrek at about 130k km.
Past month it started making a knocking noise from the passenger side front, only happens when not accelerating. (Only happens when foot off the pedal.)
It is made worse when going downhill and seems to be worse at low speed.
It does not happen when I am going uphill.
The speed of knocking is related to the speed the car is traveling and does not change if I put it in neutral while coasting downhill. (I don't normally do this, just did it to test.)
The mechanic apparently replaced the front left axle and this did not help.
He then took out transmission and replaced a part that apparently breaks in all these cars as well as replacing the filter. There was one gear that had loosened because of chafing away some of its edges, something he says he has never seen before. The advice was to either try fix it by engineering it to make it fit nicely or to replace the casing. Apparently when he put it back in it was fitting snugly.
Unfortunately this did nothing to the knocking noise.
Now there is also a different noise, louder knocking transiently when accelerating while turning left that also seems to come from the left front (passenger side) of the car. This does not happen when turning right.
Any help will be immensely appreciated and if you have a Bitcoin wallet I can send you a tip/ show my appreciation financially!

I'm thinking in the mist of the steering knuckle cause you don't hear it all the time...Stumped again...let us know.
Just raise the side making all the noise and check the rotating of the wheel. If anything up n down, rotation, in and out. Curious here...

From the start of the emergence of bitcoin, there has been a constant growth in the cryptocurrency's value. A continuous rise in value is an incentive to replenish a casino account in bitcoins. Over time, the currency on the account will "grow" significantly. Agree? Guys recommend an interesting Crypto casino blog. I am interested in this topic and would like to read something new from the world of cryptocurrency and bitcoin casinos. Thank you.
