Hi all...I'm the new proud owner of mitsubishi montero sr 1995
I got this truck for a new offroad project and really like it
the truck runs like a champ
theres a check engine light on,that reads 43 egr system error
also the car's rpms dropp down like reallly low at cold start,like its choking.....what could that be
egr valve,O2 sensors...anyone?

yes in cold start,the rpms drop down like its choking....but when I rev it it goes back to normal....oh and btw the check engine light is gone....all day today....it was cold in the morning then it got really warm....so i dont know WTF is wrong with it......other that than it runs smooth.....theres like a little cut in the rps....like running smooth and then it cuts like a tinny tap......i replaced the spark plugs....put in fuel injector cleaner.....bad cable maybe?

 

Sounds like a bad coolant temp sensor, does it smoke at all when you first start it up?

 

I havent noticed....but I dont think so
