Question New member with an antenna problem

Hi! I drive a 1991 Montero 3.0L V6, 4x4 manual 5-speed. It is a stock model- no power windows or AC. It runs like a tank and I love it.

Problem: The wire from the antenna to the radio has been severed near the antenna post. How do you replace the antenna?

So to replace the antenna on 1st generation montero you need to unbolt the right front panel so you can get to antenna mount. Note: A universal radio antenna WILL NOT fit straight out of the package.

I do love the fact all you need to disassemble the panel is a 10mm socket and a phillips screwdriver!
