yea i think thats it, cuz i used to b able to hit like 85mph in my car now i can do like 115 lol also do u think if i ran my filter into the fender it would add some hp? so basicly a cold air intake?
its non turbo right? yea cold air intake deff add more power than a ram intake....just be careful whle driving in the rain.. get too much water in there and your car will stall.....

If it were me driving/modding your car, here's the steps I'd take to run all over your mentally challenged friend:

(1.) CAI-you can either get one for an '02 Lancer ES which will bolt up with just a few modifications or build your own
(2.) Cat-back exhaust - for the g93 I would suggest at least a 2.25" exhaust, this will give you the best power throughout your rev range
(3.) Test pipe - otherwise known as a "high flow cat"
(4.) RPW 4-1 Header - You've got the 4-2-1 header, which is almost as good
(5.) UDP - give you a few ponies, nothing drastic but every little bit helps
(6.) Drop some weight out of the car i.e. the back seat, your spare tire, all the carpet in the back, anything that isn't essential to driving fast could go
(7.) '97 FED spec ECU - your current ECU has a top speed limiter of 115mph, after which it will cut fuel. Find a wrecked or salvaged 97 LS coupe or ES Sedan (must be a 1.8L) and plug that in. The new ECU will not have the limiter and also has a slightly more aggressive curve to it.

Anything past this will require lots of $$$, but the g93 responds well to NA mods as well as turbo, so after that it's up to you.

P.S. Swap in a 5spd

a CAI is roughly like 5-7 more HP then a RAI.. reason being is obviously air accesibility a ram intake is under your hood somits is blocked by some parts of your motor and certain parts like a timing belt creates a vacuum pressure around it drawing air tword it and not throwing air away from it... a CAI goes below your car so there is no obstructions in the path of the filter besides a bumper (one that is designed to push air up down and to the sides) so the air is forced into the CAI with no problems.... i think that roughly covers it
