see i dont really like the whole 10 year thing. IMO that is way to far ahead. Maybe like a 5 year thing is more realistic, since people rarely ever end up where they think. Im more of a short term goal type person, and i believe thats the way to go.

For instance, my first short term was to get into Computer Aided Drafting. Then i started doing drafting for a civil engineering place and enjoyed it so my next short term was to graduate college in civil engineering. Once i did that and had a job my next goal is now to learn what i can from my company and in three years obtain my stamp as a lisenced engineer. After that i dont know. But im sure ill know when i get there.

So i think short term is alot better. I guess it depends on the feild as well. But it works for me.

id tell him to worry about his own goals . But seriously every has their own way of doing things. He should not be pushing his own way onto you.

Hes not pushing his way. Hes trying to get me to realise a direction and have a goal. I dont see that as a bad thing.

Aw I don't think that's a bad thing except you said he was like breaking your ***** about it. That's not a good way to produce a goal. I was "forced" to come up with something by counselors in high school and well now that I've been out of high school for 5 years i think I know less now what I want to do then I did then! If I'd had to answer what I'd be doing in 10 years from your age I would have been COMPLETELY wrong [&:]Having an idea to work towards is good.. expecting that THAT is the only thing you can do.. probly NOT a good idea. From experience. Be a spider hunter seb! lol you seem to have that down! [8D]Or like a manager at a dealership shop. They paint, do body work, AND work on mechanical stuff.. you'd make good money, have a benefits, and not have to worry about paying other people!

I dont really want to work under people. Thats my biggest thing. I tend to have a problem with authority lol.

Well what ever ideas i come up with i dont have to follow. They are jsut ideas... nothing is set in concrete.

Arent you at work? SLACKER!
